Hot Dip Galvanized Steel

Cold Rolled steel is coated with Zinc by passing through a molten bath to form an adherent inter metallic bond - the zinc coating and the steel behave as one during fabrication & service. The composition and temperature of the molten zinc is rigorously controlled to achieve the optimum bond between coating and steel. The resultant Galvanized steel with its superior corrosion resistance finds wide application in Roofing, fabrication etc. Typically, Galvanized steel is supplied with Zinc coatings of Z-120, Z-180 & Z-270 depending on customer requirements.

Galvanized Pipes

Pipes manufactured by Electric resistance welding are coated with zinc in a molten bath to provide corrosion resistance. These pipes are available in plain ends or as screwed & socketed. Fittings for this type of pipe are of galvanized malleable (soft) cast iron. Galvanized pipes are available in diameters from 1/2" with wall thickness as per BS 1367.
